Questions
Can I get subtitles from an MP4?
Yes. Export the transcript as SRT or VTT; every line keeps its start and end time.
Do I need the screenshots?
No. Audio Only (1 Credit per minute) gives the transcript and notes. Choose Illustrated Notes (3 Credits per minute) to add the key frames.
What files can I upload?
Video (MP4, MOV, WebM) and audio (MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, AAC, FLAC), up to 30 minutes and 1 GB per file.
How are Credits charged?
Audio Only costs 1 Credit per minute and Illustrated Notes 3 Credits per minute. Every started minute counts. You see the estimate before you start, and Credits are taken once processing begins.
What if processing fails?
If nothing is delivered, the Credits come back automatically. If Illustrated Notes only delivers the transcript, the illustration part comes back. You can retry from the recording page.
Which languages work?
The spoken language is detected automatically, or you can pick it. ClipNoter is tuned for English today.
Who can see my recordings?
Only your account. Recordings, transcripts and notes are never shown to other users.
Can I try it for free?
New accounts get 10 free Credits after verifying their email, valid for 30 days.
